Bundles of Rs 2,000 notes showered from building in Central Kolkata In a shocking and bizarre incident reported from West Bengal, bundles of Rs 2,000, demonetised Rs 500 and Rs 100 notes were showered from a building in Central Kolkata on Wednesday afternoon when officials from the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence reached the office of a private firm to conduct a search operation. The office, which reportedly dealt in export-import business, was located on the sixth floor of a building in Bentinck Street, Kolkata. The registered name and address of the office have been identified as Hoque Mercantile Private Limited, Room 601, MK Point, 27 Bentinck Street, Kolkata. Much to the surprise of bystanders, currency notes in denominations of ₹100, 500 and 2,000 were showered from a commercial building in Central Kolkata on Wednesday evening.
